Last night, 20/20 did a story about Ravens OT Michael Oher, the player whose real life experiences created the hit movie, "The Blind Side". The 20/20 doc showed more than the background story about Oher. It shows what he's doing now, the guy that played him in the movie who, ironically, went through a similar ordeal, and another Memphis child who is going down a similar path as Oher.
I love this story, it shows that there are people who are willing to people a kid, no matter the race, gender or financial state. 20/20 did a good idea of showing his path to where he is today. In case you missed it, here are the videos, courtesy of ABC.

I loved the movie..love loved it. But after all this time, why hasn't Oher participated in media training. Or has he? He never looks at the person speaking and that bothers me. He has every reason to hold his head HIGH.
thanks for the links
I know the OL gets little love, but this guy has been great and a ROY candidate...he has my vote
pigskin if you saw the movie and read a little he had a rough life. It takes years to overcome what happened early in his life. He is still a "kid" or young man he will improve over time with more interviews and experiences with the media. If you were thrusted into the spot light I am sure you would be shy as well.
