NFL Week 11 Recap And Thoughts

Category: , ,

-This is the look from every Ravens fan right now......

This team is the biggest underachieving team I've seen since they came to Baltimore. The Ravens are 5-5, but have played well against good competition. They just cannot find ways to close out games. Against the Pats, Colts and Vikings they have lost by a TOTAL of 10 points, and had a chance to win each game. The Ravens could easily be 9-1 right now. But they reality is, they aren't... I don't know what John Harbaugh has to do go light a fire under their azzes, but he better do it soon. They still have the Steelers twice, Packers and Bears to face. Goood luck with that schedule, Harbs.

-Who would've thought that one of the weekend's best games would have been the Browns-Lions game??? It had one of the best endings of the weekend, if not the year. Two bad teams playing against each other usually says "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz", but this game actually was good. Brady Quinn finally showed people that he can throw a football past 8 yards, and Matt Stafford showed that you don't need two arms to win games, because one is just fine... Either the NFL is just that exciting, or the product is getting really bad. Too bad Detroit couldn't see it real time, it was blacked out in the area.

-Who would've thought one of the worst games this weekend would have been the Redskins-Cowboys game???

- The entire AFC North took a stumble on Sunday. The Steelers lost to the Chiefs in OT , then Bengals to the Raiders in the final seconds, both considered better teams than their opponent. Each team lost by 3 points or less. Sucks to be the AFC North right now.

-The Chargers are red hot... The Broncos are SOOO not!

-My upset pick almost came true. I picked the Rams over the Cardinals. Just when you thought they were on a positive run, Marc Bulger will be out 3-6 weeks with a broken leg. Kyle Boller will be starting in his place. It really sucks because the team was starting to really make teams fight for their wins. But with Boller taking over, they'll be giving games away like turkeys at a Thanksgiving dinner soup kitchen.

-I think the Jaguars are the most underrated winning team in the league right. No one is talking about them and it makes me wonder, why not?! Well, guess I'll keep tradition going..........................................

-When the Patriots played the Jets 2 months ago, the Jets were the big, bad bullies of the AFC East, ready to smack people in the mouth with their trash talking and ferocious defense. But boy, what a difference 8 weeks makes. Brady is now confident in his knee, Wes Welker is once again part of the equation.. and they made sure they reminded the Jets who the REAL bullies of the East were. Two words: Total Domination. Rex, pick your face up off the floor, and don't forget the Kleenex. you know you're gonna cry in the car.

-Dear NFL, Please stop putting the Bears on Nat'l TV. At least wait until Cutler can win games before we have to sit through sub par QB play for 3.5 hours... please and thanks

-The Titans are really making a turnaround. From 0-6 to 4-6, that's extremely impressive, including last night's performance against the Texans. While Vince Young hasn't lit up any one's secondary, he's been very efficient and deserves credit for much of the team's 4-game win streak. But I think we all know Chris Johnson deserves most of the credit. Don't get me wrong, Adrian Peterson is the man, but give me Chris Johnson all day. Dude is balling out of his mind.

-Best of luck for CB's Al Harris and Fabian Washington and RB Ladell Betts. All 3 are gone for the year after suffering injuries during this weekend's games. Some wonder if Al Harris will end his career after his injury. The guy has been a very good player and let's hope this isn't the last we see of him. Injuries are never easy, but to be lost for the remainder of the season is hard. Best of luck to them and The NFL Chick wishes all a speedy recovery.

it is a shame that Sid Luckman is still da Bears yards passing leader, even though the NFL has made playing QB easier since '79

Roethlisberger passed him in yards before this season began, as an example

fantastic post, really beautiful work

had to add you to my blogrolls on this and my other at judspressbox.blogspot.com

Here's the real question...who is really the best RB in football right now? Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson...

I'll say this, AP is stronger and more savage...but Chris is quicker and doesn't fumble...just saying.

That same look was on the face of Falcons fans this past Sunday. Thing is, we're used to being set up for the letdown. Just riding the wave...
